Condition

Overall the condition of the marble is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is some veining to the marble consistent with the material, including to the proper left side of the chest and to the top of the head. There are a few very minor chips, including to one of the locks of hair at the front on the proper right side, to the back of the head, and to the edges of the truncation. There are a few small naturally occurring inclusions to the marble, including to the proper right cheek and to the neck. There is some minor yellow residue to the back of the head. There are some pencil marks to the chin, and there is a very light scratch below the proper right eye. There is veining to the marble socle consistent with the material. There are a few chips and abrasions to the edges of the socle, and a larger chip to the front left corner at the top.
