Condition

Overall the condition of the bust is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There are a few very small naturally occurring inclusions, including to the tip of the nose and to the neck. There is some very slight veining to the marble consistent with the material, including to the proper right cheek and the chest. One of the flowers in the headdress at the front may have been reattached or carved separately. There are some pencil marks below the chin. There are a few minor chips and abrasions to the truncation of the bust and to the marble socle.
