Condition
Overall the condition of the sculpture is very good, with minor dirt and wear to the surface consistent with age. There is minor stable hairline splitting to the ivory, consistent with the material, including to the head and neck. There is also some minor yellow staining to the ivory. There is some rubbing to the patina, notably to the woman's thighs. Some glue residue is visible where the branch is attached to the woman's arm.
Th onyx base is composed in veneer, and stable joints are slightly visible. There are several small chips and abrasions around the edges and corners. The underside is padded with pieces of felt.
