Catalogue Note
These albums were possibly compiled by a participant in the famous Peking-Paris rally of 1907 (one of the images shows two of the cars in China). The photographs show a wide variety of interesting landscapes and sights in and around Peking, including the walls and gates, the Nankou pass of the Great Wall, Tongzhou, Wanshou Shan at the Summer Palace and other views of the Great Wall and elsewhere.
