Description

Condition

The drawing is overall in a quite satisfactory state of conservation. It has a faded blue-green mount. There are freckles all over the surface, particularly in the middle, between the two women standing up, behind the soldier and on Achilles’ drapery but they do not hinder the reading of the drawing. There is a water stain in the lower left corner, and two very slight folds, one in the upper left corner and one in the upper aera, in the middle. To the bare eye, there is no retouching visible.

Catalogue Note
