Condition

Good condition for an object of this age and rare type with repairs done in situ. Age cracks stabilized with native metal brackets including: to proper right side of the head; to proper left ear, with a nail; proper left side of the neck; above back leg on both sides. Old native metal plate repairs, with brackets, to top of front leg, proper left underside of body, and proper right side of body. Metal oxidized. Marks, nicks, scratches, abrasions, dents, and small chips throughout consistent with age and use. Fine worn, aged, varied brown patina, partially blackened and with encrustation. Fixed permanently to metal base plate.
