Description

  • diameter of saucers 13cm, 5 1/4 in.
the white grounds painted with Imperial eagles bearing the coats-of-arms of the Russian Empire and the Duchy of Holstein-Gottorp with pink sash and collar of the Order of St Andrew, gilt handles and rims, with blue underglaze factory mark

Condition

Very good condition. The gilding to the rims very slightly worn, and feet with very minor chips and scratches consistent with age and use. One of the cups with a small area of repair directly above the handle, and associated re-gilding. One saucer with two small areas of the rim re-gilt. One or two very minor firing flaws.
