Charles Davis served as Her Majesty's huntsman of The Royal Hunt at St. James's Palace. He is depicted in a painting by Henry Barraud titled Charles Davis, Huntsman To Her Majesty, On Hermit With Harry King, The First Whip and The Royal Buckhounds. A portrait of him attributed to Sir Francis Grant is titled Portrait of Charles Davis, huntsman to the Royal Buckhounds.
