Condition

The sheet has discoloured and there is evidence of foxing throughout. There is a crease to the sitter's head dress in the top right corner. There is a pinhole to the sitter's left cheek. There are light surface scratches in places throughout and some creasing across the lower edge of the sheet. Held in a simple wooden frame behind glass. Unexamined out of frame.

This painting is sold in the original Macassar ebony frame designed by Jacques-Emile Ruhlmann.
