- Venus and Mars
- bronze, on ebonised wood bases with bronze herm mounts and inlaid with lapis lazuli
- Circle of Tiziano Aspetti (1559-1606) Italian, Venice or Padua, late 16th/ 17th century
with metal tags numbered: 531 and 532 and an old paper label on the underside of the base numbered 531 and 532

Condition
Overall the condition of the bronze is good with wear and dirt to the surface consistent with age and handling. There are a few minor nicks and scratches. The figures are slightly loose on their bases. There is wear to the paint on the bases and there are a few minor chips to the edges.. One of the herm finials is slightly loose. The bases were made in sections and joints are slightly visible. There is an area of losses to the lapis and top of the base of Venus.
