Description

  • walnut, steel
with sighted barrels, border-engraved lock fitted with gravity stops, half stock inlaid with silver pellets and tendrils, and steel mounts including engraved trigger-guard

Condition

Further to the catalogue images and description, the barrels have light surface rust and are a blue-black oxidized colour. Both locks remain functional and appear to have been fitted with gravity stocks in their early working life; the right hammer has a braised repair and a repaired spur. The stock remains in generally good condition as does the profuse silver inlay which has very small losses. The mounts remain in good condition.
