with amaranth, ebony, rosewood, walnut marquetry, the fall front with military trophies and  floral decoration, opening to reveal a leathered writing surface and mahogany fitting with drawers and a lockable well, above two drawers, on cabriole legs

Condition

This desk shows shrinking cracks to right side and fall front and has replaced veneers throughout, as well as small losses to veneers to fall and corner of one front leg. Ebony veneers showing craquele and the Interior of fall front has been re-veneered. The inside drawers seem to have been adapted from a different piece. The back board possibly replaced.
