Catalogue Note

The Café Au Go Go was a Greenwich Village mythic nightclub in the 1960's. Some of the greatest artists of that time appeared there such as the Grateful Dead, Muddy Waters and Van Morrison. Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention played an historic run of concerts at the Garrick Theatre in April 1967, featuring influential artists as Jimi Hendrix or Eric Clapton. A variation of the poster was printed in red for the September 1967 extended engagement.
