Catalogue Note
Hand-written lyrics in Jim Morrison's hand of the song "Love her madly", created by the guitarist Robby Krieger, author or co-author of several hits for The Doors such as "Light my fire" and "Touch me". This song was the lead single for the last album of the Doors ("L.A. Woman"), before Morrison's death.
In this manuscript, he struck out Krieger's name on top of the first page and corrected the original title "Don't you love her madly?", crossing out "Don't you" to get to the final title. The text is the complete final version as released in 1971.
The manuscript was owned by Danny Sugerman, biographer of the Doors and their last manager. Sugerman started to work with the band at 12 years old, answering the fan mail.
