Ten etchings, 1729-60, H. 13 first state (of four), H. 18, 20, 22, 26, 47 second states (of eight, five or six), H. 32, 40, 49 third states (of six), H. 58 fourth state (of seven), all contemporary Roman editions, H. 13, 18, 20, 22, 26 and 58 on paper with a Fleur-de-Lys in Double Circle watermark, H. 32 with an indistinct watermark, possibly a Fleur-de-Lys in Single Circle watermark

Condition

Each sheet with full to wide margins, in good condition apart from the usual central vertical fold, the sheet edges with occasional soft creasing or folds, infrequent small tears or paper losses and pale discoloration, minor surface soiling primarily at the sheet edges and verso; H. 13 with an approx. 2 cm tear at centre of lower sheet edge; H. 18 with some pale brown stains in the plate at centre of left edge and centre of sky, further pale staining in the margins; H. 20 with pale brown stains (primarily in the margins and verso) and a pale water stain to left of upper sheet edge; H. 26 with a few pin holes towards upper sheet edge; H. 32 with a 9cm tear at right of upper sheet edge extending just into the upper right corner of the plate; H. 22, 49 and 58 with some pale mottled fox marks; H. 22 with an approx. 4.5cm repaired tear at the upper left margin, occasional small losses at sheet edges; H. 40 with a pale water stain at upper right margin, all unframed.
