Two engravings, circa 1495-96, M. 81 a fine Meder a-b impression, before the two arc-shaped scratches through the halberd and with the scratches in the lower plate, on paper with an Imperial Orb watermark (cf. M. 56); M. 77 a Meder e impression, some slipped printing in the subject at lower right, on paper with an indistinct watermark (possibly a City Gate within Shield), each framed

Five Soldiers and a Turk (M. 81) - trimmed to the borderline, fractionally into the subject at centre and lower left (with associated touches of pen and ink), made-up losses at corners and centre right edge, three with touches of pen and ink, a repaired area in sky at upper right (a small pen and ink touch to the halberd), a short repaired tear with tiny associated surface losses at centre left edge, overall discoloration, other minor defects, framed. The Ill-Assorted Couple (M. 77) - trimmed on the platemark, to the subject or fractionally within at places, a couple of skilfully repaired areas backed with Japan verso (not affecting the subject), overall discoloration, framed.
