Drypoint, 1652, a fine impression of this extremely rare print, the second (final) state, New Hollstein's second (final) state, printing with much burr on the tree at right and elsewhere, with tone and many vertical polishing scratches in the sky, on paper with a Strasbourg Lily watermark, framed

Condition

With margins on all sides, in good condition, a small skilfully repaired tear near the signature on the lower edge (only visible upon close inspection), the tip of the lower right corner skilfully made-up, a couple of unobtrusive touches of grey wash in the trees at the left, touches of pen and ink in places on the platemark, a shallow fine surface scratch extending from centre lower sheet edge to the house, a soft horizontal crease along the upper right sheet corner, framed.
