a group of 30 photomicrographs of Snowflakes, printing-out paper prints, each on a decoratively embossed mount, many with date and numerical notations in pencil on the reverse, 1886-1900 (30)
Provenance
The photographer to Reverend Henry Crocker, circa 1900

Condition
These printing-out paper prints are in generally good to very good condition. The prints are trimmed to square, circle, triangle, and hexagon shapes. Wear at the edges, small creases from mounting, scratches, and small losses of emulsion are visible to varying degrees on many of the prints. When examined in raking light, some exhibit slight, age-appropriate silvering.
Each print is affixed to a small white or grey mount with decorative edges. Most of the mounts are soiled, appropriately age-darkened, and worn. Offsetting from other snowflake photomicrographs is visible on the reverse of each mount.
