These prints are in generally excellent condition. In raking light, a few deposits of retouching and scattered tiny impressions are visible on some of the prints. On the reverse, each print is signed, titled 'Venise,' dated '1979' and '(c) 1987 by Lucien Clergue,' annotated 'printed by Michael Szoka' (or 'printed 1987 by Michael Szoka'), and variously numbered in ink and in pencil. The small, close-up portrait is annotated 'printed by L. Clergue and Michael Szoka, Arles, 1987.' The Cibachrome print - In raking light, a small scratch in the right portion of the image, a few fingerprints, and smudges are visible. The clamshell box is in generally excellent condition. There is no front matter accompanying this portfolio, aside from the facsimile pages from the '1641 Venetia book.'
