- signed H. Corrodi Kairo lower left
- oil on canvas
- 101.5 by 56.5cm., 40 by 22¼in.
Condition
The canvas is unlined, with six small patches visible on the reverse. Ultra-violet light reveals a few small minor repairs, the largest a 2cm and 3cm line meeting in the wall of the building above and behind the woman seated on a donkey; there are some possible small strokes in the light pigments to the right of the tower, however some other spots of fluorescence under U.V. appear to correspond to the artist's pigments rather than retouching. This painting is in good overall condition and ready to hang.
Presented in a decorative gilt frame with a nameplate.
