Condition

Red, blue, green, yellow and clear glass, set into nineteenth-century leads. This is a composite panel made up of a central figurative diamond set into a background of decorative border elements, all of which reuse thirteenth-century glass. Some corrosion and abrasion to painted details (particularly the proper left shoulder of the figure), although generally the glass has survived in excellent condition, and the pigments remain stable. Some blue and red quarries replaced. The beard altered. Some minor breaks, such as to the crown, which have been repaired with fine string leads.
