Condition
The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com , an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's.
This work is in extremely good condition. The painting seems to have been recently cleaned. The only retouching seems to be in the tablecloth beneath the still life. The canvas is lined, and the cracking is stable. There is slight thinness in the darker colors above the female group on the right. Although the cracking is level and stabilized because of the lining, it is still visible but not disturbing.
