Condition
Both laid down. Overall in very good condition with chalk remaining fresh and vibrant. The blue paper has also retained its color.
A) There is a faint vertical crease running down the centre of the sheet, from where paper was previously folded. Upper margin is uneven where there are several nicks and folds. Some very faint light brown stains around the outer edges of the sheet, barely visible.
B) Faint light brown stain in upper right corner, barely visible. Sheet has wrinkled slightly due to where it has been glued down at the four corners.

Luigi Ademollo trained in Milan and Rome and at the age of twenty-five travelled to Florence where he remained for the rest of his career. He became one of the leading Neoclassical painters in Tuscany, executing important commissions in Palazzo Pitti, Pucci and Capponi.
