  • A squall approaching the northern French coast; together with Fishing boats at Sunset off a harbour
  • Both watercolour over pencil, heightened with bodycolour, scratching out and gum arabic 
  • 22 by 27 cm; 8 ½ by 10 ½ in.; 21.5 by 32 cm; 8 1/2 by 12 1/2 in.

Condition

A Squall approaching: The colours of survived very well in this watercolour. The image is bright and fresh. Sunset at Sea: There has been some very minor discolouration to the paper in this work and there are occasional very minor foxmarks.
