Provenance
In the family of the present owners since at least the 1960s.
Condition
The support consists of 3 vertical oak panels, the joins supported in the reverse by a series of triangular and rectangular inserts. The panels are stable. There is a small vertical split at the very lower centre. The paint surface is beautifully preserved and intact overall. The varnish layer is old and yellowed. There do not appear to be any major damages or defects to the surface, with only a few small spot retouchings in the background. Sold with a parcel gilt ebony frame, in good overall condition.
