Condition

The support is made from a single panel, and is uncradled and stable. There are no major damages visible to the paint surface. The varnish appears even but slightly discoloured. Inspection under ultra-violet light reveals few retouchings mostly in the darker tones of the background and also two tiny retouchings on the signature. Under ultra-violet, the varnish fluoresces in an opaque manner masking any earlier work if such exists. The painting shows a minor degree of wear in the centre of the panel but is in fair condition overall.
