The canvas is relined, the paint surface is secure and stable. The picture is in excellent condition and would require no work. The varnish is clean and even. On inspection under ultra violet light there a few, sensitively applied scattered retouchings, the most substantial of which is in the darker pink tones of her left sleeve. This lot is offered in an elaborate carved and gilt wood frame in good condition, some losses to the gilt.
