Condition
The canvas has been recently relined, cleaned and restored. There is a degree of wear in the paint surface and there are scattered localised retouchings throughout, notably to the craqeulure patterns in the sky, the figures in the middle distance, the foreground foliage and figures.
Offered in a 19th century Louis XV gilt plater frame in near perfect condition.
