Catalogue Note

Reddy Kilowatt is a cartoon figure trademark created in 1926 by Ashton B. Collins, Sr. of the Alabama Power Company. It was henceforth been used by many utility companies in the US and internationally as the ambassador for electric utilities in the 20th century.

The work is accompanied with a painted double-sided wood cutout in the form of Reddy Kilowatt, with a wood base, inscribed, "Reddy Kilowatt Your Electric Servant".
