Condition
Unexamined out of frame.
Original canvas.
There are slight horizontal stretcher bar marks to the top and bottom edges. There is craquelure throughout the composition, most visible in the upper half, but also appearing elsewhere. There are two small areas of loss, the first of which is in the upper left corner, and the second the top centre of the right hand edge.
Ultraviolet light reveals areas of fluorescence and possible retouchings in the upper left quadrant.
Housed behind Perspex in a thin gilt wooden frame. Unexamined out of frame.
