Condition
Original canvas. There is a small patch measuring approximately 1 by 1in. near the centre of the right edge of the canvas, which corresponds to a small area of fluorescence under ultraviolet light.
There is craquelure throughout the composition, particularly prominent to the sky, with resultant flecks of scattered loss.
Ultraviolet light reveals a tiny spot to the sea in the centre of the composition, with a further spot in line with the aforementioned repair. There is a stretcher bar mark visible along the upper, right and left hand edges.
Housed in a thick painted wooden frame.
