Condition
The illustration of the catalogue is accurate. Good overall condition despite the inevitable scratches and marks throughout due to age and handling.
The central gilt-bronze mount of the upper drawer has been shortened in lenght. Two minor symetrical losses to the ornament above the female head on the left upper corner. The escutchon of the fall front door is associated. A vertical shrinkage crack on each lateral side and two horizontal shrinkage cracks on the fall front door have been restored. Three wings of the figures of the base have been restored. Some minor chips and rubbing to the gilding and the black patina of these figures. Some dents on the veneer on the plinth.
The marble is very slightly scratched as expected.
A small minor loss to the leather top at the reverse of the fall front door.
