comprising a frame, thermometer and case, the rectangular frame applied with mosaic-set lapis lazuli, measuring approximately 4 5/8 by 3 3/8 in., mounted in 18 karat gold, signed Cartier. Together with a miniature travel thermometer, gross weight approximately 46 dwts, mounted in 14 karat gold, signed Cartier, numbered 8818; with a cylinder-shaped textured 14 karat gold case, gross weight approximately 60 dwts, signed Verdura. 3 pieces.
Condition
FRAME: in good condition overall, some naturally-occuring surface irregularties with the lapis lazuli which also has a fair amount of scattered pyrite inclusions adding that extra "sparkle", signed Cartier along the bottom underside edge, stamped 18K, with number 11124. THERMOMETER: in good condition, opens by sliding the lid, approximate length 4 1/2 inches x 1 inch by 1/2 inch; the cylindrical case in overall good condition with light abrasions to polished surfaces on top and bottom, signed on inner lip of the lid Verdura, stamped 14K, with scratch number V524, gross weight approximately 60 dwts, dimensions approximately 3 3/4 inches x 1 1/2 inches.
