the oval-shaped dial with Arabic numeral indicators, set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.10 carats, with cabochon and calibré-cut onyx accents, completed by a black grosgrain band, manual movement, the caseback with personal inscription, internal circumference 5 in., signed Charlton & Co; circa 1925 .
Condition
In good condition with some light wear to the black grosgrain band including one loose thread, and evidence of solder to the two small links that connect the band to the dial. The diamonds are near-colorless and decorative in quality. The onyx is in good condition, with one segment displaying a crack and some chipping, neither of which are evident when worn. Dial signed "Charlton & Co.", and caseback inscribed "R.L.L. May 12th 1926." Internal circumference approximately 5 inches. Manual movement, gentle winding recommended. Oval movement, 10 x 5 1/2, 18 jewels. Watch has recently been cleaned, oiled, demagnatized, adjusted and has been fit with a new mainspring, and cannon pinion has been tightened.
