the kneeling Egyptian figure in the form of Cleopatra composed of carved coral, the figure wearing a textured gold dress and bangle-bracelets, the headdress set with calibré-cut sapphires, the platform set with calibré-cut emeralds, accented with round diamonds weighing approximately .35 carat, her lotus blossom scepter and eyes applied with enamel, signed Verdura. Condition
Overall condition is very good but note tips of the green enamel papyrus frond with 2 exceedingly small chips at the tips, not visible to the naked eye. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS clarity. The sapphires are well-matched for color; a nicely saturated medium-deep blue and relatively clean, one stone with a small cavity at the surface; the emeralds are a bright medium-deep green and well-matched for color. The coral segments with uniform color on the front, but not noticeable on the back side are some mottled white patches at the cheek, shoulder and elbow. Verdura signature along lower bottom edge, a deep scratch number C1809 on the underside of the mounting at the "thigh". Height approximately 1 1/3 inches, width approximately 1 inch.
