The second letter opener set with a sodalite blade, completed by a sculpted gold handle accented by one cabochon emerald, length 10 in., signed Schlumberger, with French assay marks. With two signed boxes. 2 pieces.
Condition
AGATE LETTER OPENER: the banded agate blade is less orangy and more gray than pictured in the printed catalogue. It remains translucent. In very good condition. Width approximately 1 1/8 inches wide. Accompanied by a black suede box signed Schlumberger Paris. SODALITE LETTER OPENER: The emerald is a medium green and is semi-opaque. 1 inch wide. Accompanied by a black suede box signed Schlumberger Paris, the suede covering is torn in three places; one on the lid, one at a corner, and at the thumb piece.
