designed as a flower set with numerous old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 20.00 carats, accented by round and cushion-cut rubies weighing approximately 4.50 carats, the leaf further set with round emeralds weighing approximately 1.50 carats, with French assay mark.
Condition
Overall condition is good, commensurate with the age of the piece dated as late 19th century.The rubies vary slightly in tone and saturation from medium-light pinkish red to medium-deep purplish red, generally clean and bright. Emeralds are medium-light green and moderately included but still bright and lively. The diamonds are approximately H-J color, VS-SI clarity, with a few examples in the I clarity range. Scratch number JAA 146 tmv and repeated number JAA 146. French assay mark on pin stem, and along the side of the frame to the pin mechanism, which may have been repaired or possibly replaced. Height approximately 3 1/4 inches. Width approximately 1 3/4 inches.
