Description
- gold, colored stone, diamond, enamel
designed as a series of hinged panels, each panel applied with white enamel spot details, set with emerald, rubies, sapphires and pink sapphires, further set with old mine-cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00 carat, length 8 in., with maker's mark; circa 1870.
Condition
In good condition. Bracelet displays much tarnish consistent with age, and modest surface abrasion to the yellow gold setting consistent with use. Enamel is in good condition with no loss. All gems are backed and therefore unable to gauge the true clarity, however color is fairly strong in the emeralds, rubies and sapphires. Diamonds are of decorative quality. Unusual pin plunger clasp is set by squeezing the top portion and pulling gently, then placing the hollow tube end in the now empty space and then pushing the plunger back down to set the clasp. Signature appears on the bottom of the bracelet near the plunger end of the clasp. Bracelet measures 7 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. Please note the authorship of this piece cannot be guaranteed.
