Description
- gilt metal, sea shell, enamel, synthetic stone
three lion's paw shells and one turbo shell accented by simulated coral branches applied with enamel and synthetic gemstones, three signed KJL and one brooch unsigned. 4 pieces.
Condition
All pieces in good condition; the orange shell slightly loose in its mounting, and some evidence of enamel loss on several of the segments, not apparent when worn. The group includes a beige shell, an orange shell, a purple shell and a turbo shell, all accented by simulated coral branches that contain enamel, the brooches also set with several synthetic gemstones of pink, orange, blue and green hue. Beige shell is not signed, but of the same structure and design as the other pieces; signature plaque most likely became detached with wear. The three other brooches are signed on applied plaques on the reverse. Dimensions of beige shell approximately 2 1/2 x 2 1/8 inches. Dimensions of orange shell approximately 2 3/8 x 2 1/8 inches. Dimensions of purple shell approximately 3 x 2 1/2 inches. Dimensions of turbo shell approximately 2 x 1 1/2 inches.
