centering a cabochon ruby weighing approximately 34.25 carats, accented by old European-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.75 carats, further set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately 4.75 carats, length 6ΒΌ in., numbered 74, with French assay and partial maker's marks.
Condition
In good condition. Ruby measures approximately 20.8 by 17.6 by 7.8 mm and displays a medium slightly purplish red hue. Showing many inclusions the ruby also displays numerous surface-reaching inclusions, as well as a semi-faceted bottom. The diamonds are approximately G-I color and, SI-I clarity. Partial maker's mark of an E in a lozenge is visible.
