Designed as a graduated line of circular-cut diamonds, the central fancy yellow diamond weighing 15.43 carats, on a clasp and chain accented with similarly cut diamonds, length approximately 350mm.
Provenance
This necklace originally formed part of a longer diamond rivière in the collection of Her Royal Highness Maharani Kamala Rajya Lakshmi, wife of His Royal Highness Maharaja Sir Padma Shumshere Jung Bahadur Rana of Nepal, which she can be seen wearing in the adjacent portrait. Thence by descent to the present owner.
Condition
Accompanied by GIA report no. 1162687542, stating that the central circular-cut diamond weighing 15.43 carats and measuring 15.94 x 16.22 x 9.61mm, is Fancy Yellow, Natural Colour, VS1 Clarity.The circular-cut diamonds weighing 8.50, 8.89, 9.05, 11.51, 12.03, 9.25, 8.74, 7.00 carats, weighing a total of 75.06 carats (together with the central 15.43 carat diamond weighing a total of 90.49 carats), are in our experts' opinion of yellow tint, VS2 to VS1 clarity. Signs of normal wear to the metal. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 72 grams.
