Natural pearl and diamond brooch, late 19th century

Designed as a ribbon set with cushion-shaped diamonds, accented with a button shaped natural pearl measuring approximately 15.56 x 15.94 x 14.37mm, and a detachable natural pearl drop measuring approximately 11.80 x 14.00 x 20.20mm, capped with rose diamonds, brooch fitting later added.

Accompanied by SSEF report no. 80047, stating that the pearls measuring approximately 15.56 x 15.94 x 14.37mm and 11.80 x 14.00 x 20.20mm, were found to be natural, saltwater. Additionally accompanied by Laboratoire Français de Gemmologie no. 308840, stating that the pearls measuring approximately 15.60 x 15.60 x 12.70mm and 12.00 x 13.90 x 19.20mm, were found to be natural, saltwater. Pearls of white to light cream body colour, with good skin and luster, growth marks and a few cracks; for further details on the pearls, please refer to the gemmological reports. Diamonds estimated to weigh a total of approximately 28.00 - 32.00 carats, on average L - M, a few of yellow tint, SI - I clarity, as gauged and graded in the mounting. Detachable pendant set with a cushion-shaped diamond, suspending a further detachable pendant highlighted with another cushion-shaped diamond and a drop shaped natural pearl capped with rose diamonds. Total gross weight approximately 49 grams.
