Description

The oval sapphire weighing 8.11 carats, set between triangular diamond shoulders, size 54, sizing band, partially signed Cartier, numbered, maker's mark, case stamped Cartier.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 72339, stating that the 8.11 carat sapphire, measuring 13.27 x 8.91 x 7.99 mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
Additionally accompanied by Cartier certificate of authenticity no. 1537969, stating the weight of the sapphire with 8.11 carat and the total weight of the diamonds with 1.56 carat.
Sizing band partly deficient, partially signed Cart (ier on missing piece), numbered HG49, Swiss maker's mark for Cartier Geneva on band. Stamped Pt900 for platinum and OR 750 for 18 carat yellow gold. Sapphire of medium strong saturation, for further information please refer to the report; stone clean to the naked eyes, few crystal inclusions under 10x magnification, few scratches, nicks and abrasions on the surface. Diamonds bright and lively. Normal signs of wear to the metal, scratches and indentations consistent with age and wear, minor evidence of resizing. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 8 grams.
