Description

The emerald, carved in the Persian style, accented with palmette motifs and millegrain-set with circular-cut and rose diamonds, suspending a baroque natural pearl drop, later seed pearl chain, length approximately 420mm, signed Cartier, fitted case stamped Cartier.

Condition

Accompanied by the Gem & Pearl laboratory report no 08995, stating that the part-drilled pearl, measuring 13.1 - 14.4 mm in width (length about 6 - 7 mm), is natural, saltwater. Signed Cartier on pendant hook. Emerald of medium saturation with typical crystal inclusions, some surface reaching, few nicks and abrasions. Natural pearl drop of white body colour, with blemishes and growth marks, good lustre. Seed pearls well matched. Diamonds bright and lively. Clasp secure. Signs of normal wear to the metal, scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 32 grams.
