The oval-shaped sapphire weighing 5.45 carats, the mounting set with single-cut diamonds weighing approximately .30 carat, size 6½, with workshop mark.
Condition
In good condition. The sapphire is a medium-deep blue, slightly included, with some very minor color zoning visible only under direct light and close inspection. The diamonds are approximately F-G color, predominantly VS clarity. There is a decorative platinum sphere on the exterior base of the shank. According to the consignor, the mounting was custom-made for the sapphire by Temple St. Clair. Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 82869 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by SSEF report no. 61246 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating. Accompanied by Gübelin report no. 11070149 stating that the sapphire is of Kashmir origin, with no indications of heating.
