Description
- Van Cleef & Arpels
- diamond, ruby, gold
Modelled as a ballerina, the head, bodice and dress set with rose-cut diamonds, the dress embellished by circular-cut rubies, mounted in 18 karat yellow gold, signed VCA and numbered N.Y.49155.
Condition
Colour and Clarity: In our opinion, rubies are of strong red colour, eye clean. Upon 10x loupe, a few rubies have surface chips or abrasions, not seen to naked eyes. Rose-cut diamonds are about I to K colours, mostly VS. The largest rose-cut diamond set on the face and a few other smaller stones have slightly chipped girdle, not seen to naked eyes. Signed and numbered to the back.
Condition: Vintage piece, circa 1979, signs of wear to the metal and stones, commensurate with its age, overall in good condition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please note that jadeite and rubies of Burmese origin and articles of jewellery containing jadeite or rubies of Burmese origin all less than 100 years old may not be imported into the US. The purchaser's inability to import any item into the U.S. or any other country as a result of these or other restrictions shall not justify cancellation or rescission of the sale or any delay in payment. Please check with the specialist department if you are uncertain as to whether a lot is subject to these import restrictions, or any other restrictions on importation or exportation
