Each of circular form, pavé-set with circular-cut sapphires of various hues ranging from light pink to purplish blue, surmounted with a stylised cage set with a cushion-shaped stone, one a diamond weighing 3.06 carats, the other a ruby weighing 4.89 carats, and lines of single-cut diamonds, signed JAR, French import marks, post and hinged back fittings, case by JAR.
Condition
Rubies of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece contains a ruby of Burmese origin and therefore cannot be imported into the US. Please contact the jewellery department for further information or see our Important Notices.
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 57708, dated 18 October 2010, stating that the ruby measuring approximately 9.40 x 8.80 x 6.45 mm is of Burmese origin, with no indications of heating.
Both signed JAR. Stamped 750 for gold, 925 for silver and Pt 950 for platinum. For further information on the ruby please refer to the SSEF report; ruby with typical inclusions and a few nicks. Coloured sapphires in good condition. In our experts' opinion the cushion-shaped diamond weighing 3.06 carats is H-I colour and VS clarity, smaller diamonds of similar colour and clarity. Signs of little wear to the mounting, a few scratches consistent with use. In good condition. Gross weight approximately 49 grams.
