Sapphire and diamond ring, Cartier

Set with a cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 5.87 carats, the front of the band decorated with circular-cut diamonds, size 59^1/2, French assay and maker's marks, signed Cartier, numbered, case stamped Cartier.

Accompanied by Gem A report no. 0125153, dated 26 September 2003, stating that the sapphire is of Ceylon origin, with no evidence of treatment, and by Cartier certificate of authenticity no. 039837. Inside of ring band signed Cartier, numbered 59-69334a, French maker's mark. Stamped Pt950 and with French assay mark for platinum. The sapphire weighing 5.87 carats, measuring approximately 10.79 x 8.65 x 6.77mm, of medium strong saturation with typical crystal inclusions. Diamonds bright and lively. Very few signs of wear to the mounting; in excellent condition. Total gross weight approximately 6 grams.
