The cushion-shaped sapphire weighing 6.30 carats, claw set between shoulders each decorated with a cluster of brilliant-cut diamonds, size 51, signed Cartier, numbered, French assay and partial maker's marks.
Condition
Accompanied by SSEF report no. 75784, stating that the sapphire weighing 6.30 carats and measuring 11.13 x 9.84 x 6.34 mm, is of Ceylon origin, with no indications of heating.
Signed Cartier, numbered 1576, partial French maker's mark, inscribed 51 for the ring size. Stamped with French assay mark and 750 for 18 carat gold. Purplish blue sapphire of medium strong saturation, with good transparency and typical inclusions, some minor abrasions to facet junctions visible under 10x magnification, one minor chip below girdle edge; for further information please refer to the SSEF report. Diamonds bright and lively. Little signs of wear to the metal. In very good condition. Gross weight approximately 6 grams.
