Condition
Sound board. There is very slight rounding to the extreme corners, visible upon close inspection.
There are some tiny, minor nicks to the extreme edge of the board, most probably in line with an earlier framing, with further very slight traces of studio detritus apparent upon close inspection. Elsewhere there is very minor flattening to some of the raised elements of thicker impasto, but this excepting the work appears in very good overall condition.
Ultraviolet light reveals some minor areas of fluorescence to one or two of the black squares towards the centre of the composition, which may be in keeping with the nature of the materials.
Housed in a thin, dark wooden frame, tightly float-mounted within a linen-textured mount.
